Community Event Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Community Event Project Manager to lead and execute COCHE’s community engagement initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving our community health awareness and assessment programmes, fostering partnerships, and ensuring seamless coordination across stakeholders. If you are passionate about biomedical innovation, public health, and event management, we invite you to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and implement COCHE’s community programmes, with an initial focus on health awareness and assessment programmes;
• Lead and manage the Community Health Team, overseeing operations, deliverables, and reporting to directors;
• Coordinate and provide end-to-end logistical support for COCHE’s programme activities from coordinating with partners on programme deliverables to evaluating the effectiveness of the programme and associated research studies;
• Organise activities and coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, post-event summaries, producing presentations and compiling minutes for relevant programme meetings;
• Liaise and coordinate with programme participants, service providers, NGOs, universities and COCHE community event partners and volunteers to ensure the smooth running and output quality of COCHE's community programmes; and
• Perform other duties as assigned to advance COCHE’s mission.

General Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Public Health, Event Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record in managing health-focused community programmes.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in biomedical engineering, health and community outreach, or community event coordination.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders.

Remuneration & Duration of Appointment

The remuneration package will be highly competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits for full-time appointments include leave and medical insurance, etc. Initial appointments will be made on a fixed-term contract. The possibility of re-appointment after the initial contract period will be based on performance evaluation and mutual agreements.
