Research Assistant at AI-vBrain Limited

Job Description

The employee might work for one of the COCHE start-up companies, which is called AI-vBrain Limited. It is a healthcare and diagnostic software company that specializes in non-invasive disease diagnosis using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The main area of research is focused on cerebrovascular disease (CVD). The team members include Professors and scientist from CityU, Cambridge University and University of Hamburg.

The clients include MRI system manufacturers, diagnostic imaging centers, and hospitals. Through strategic collaborations with healthcare experts and radiologists, AI-vBrain is dedicated to providing cutting-edge software solutions for automated MRI image simulation and prediction.

The tasks to be performed are listed below:
• Image registration
• Image labeling
• Model training implementation
• Strategic planning with team members in abroad
• Business plan modification
• Project presentation
• Ready to explore new ideas.

General Qualification

1. Computer Scientist Internship

Job Description:
• Provide support in program writing, software development, and designing graphical user interfaces
• Guarantee the compatibility of software, develop and deploy mobile applications, and execute API (Application Programming Interface) operations

Applicants should also have:
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or others, depending on the specific field of focus.
• Proficiency in data analysis, machine learning, or artificial intelligence methodologies and software
• Understanding of software development methodologies and practices, such as agile methodologies and version control systems
• Experience in GUI design

Academic Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Engineering.
• Basic experience in Business administration



2. Business Management Internship

Job Description:
• Offer assistance with project administration tasks, including organizing, planning, managing information, and providing financial support, which involves preparing financial reports and processing payments when necessary

Applicants should also have:
• Proficient knowledge of various social media platforms and advertising strategies
• Effective communicator
• Good organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• High level of computer proficiency

Desired Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Social sciences, or a related discipline.

Languages:
• English, Chinese, Cantonese

Remuneration & Duration of Appointment

The remuneration package will be highly competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits for full-time appointments include leave and medical insurance, etc. The possibility of re-appointment after the initial contract period will be based on performance evaluation and mutual agreements.
