About the Research Centre

In collaboration with CityU, University of Oxford, and Karolinska Institutet, the Hong Kong Centre for Cerebro-cardiovascular Health Engineering (COCHE) was established with the support of the ITC-InnoHK Programme to develop new ways to tackle cardiovascular disease (CVD), which is the world's leading cause of morbidity and mortality. To address the most pressing health challenges caused by CVD, COCHE focuses on developing innovative technologies such as flexible and wearable devices, biomedical and molecular imaging, nano-biosensing, micro-robotics, healthcare AI systems, and other ground-breaking methods to enable early prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of the disease. These technologies can reduce human costs while alleviating financial and social burdens on the healthcare system.

Job Description

• Coordinate and oversee technology transfer projects within the COCHE framework.
• Collaborate with the Directors, Co-Principal Investigators and researchers to drive and align COCHE initiatives with the field of Biomedical Engineering.
• Act as a liaison between our Centre, academic institutions, and industry partners to facilitate the commercialization of COCHE research projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, industry professionals, and funding bodies.
• Provide expert guidance and support to research teams throughout the commercialization process.
• Keep track of the deliverables and milestones and prepare reports to the funding bodies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Biomedical Engineering and identify emerging opportunities for technology transfer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

General Qualification

• A degree in Biomedical Engineering or other related fields.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of technology transfer processes and commercialization strategies.
• Proven track record of coordinating and managing research projects, preferably in a biomedical context.
• Ability to navigate complex academic and industry environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
