We are thrilled to announce that a team from COCHE has secured 3rd place in the Trackerless 3D Freehand Ultrasound Reconstruction (TUS-REC2025) Challenge!

This international competition, organized by University College London and associated with MICCAI 2025, focuses on advancing methods to reconstruct 2D ultrasound images into accurate 3D volumes without relying on tracking devices. The challenge addresses key issues in ultrasound imaging, such as handling complex probe movements like rotations and tilts, and promotes data-driven approaches for clinical applications in quantitative biometrics, multimodal registration, and 3D visualization.

Our talented COCHE team, consisting of Prof. Kannie WY CHAN, Dr. Lei ZHAO, and Dr. Yuan ZHAO, earned a very high score on the leaderboard. The score reflects their innovative approach in estimating frame transformations for 3D reconstruction, outperforming several other international teams in metrics like pixel and landmark errors. Furthermore, the team was invited to give an oral presentation on their work during the challenge event at MICCAI 2025.
