COCHE Distinguished Lecture: Wearable Sensors for Ubiquitous-Healthcare and Active Aging

Prof. M. Jamal Deen, McMaster University's Distinguished University Professor and Director of the Micro- and Nano-Systems Laboratory, will be leading a seminar on "Wearable Sensors for Ubiquitous-Healthcare and Active Aging" at COCHE on April 6th at COCHE. The seminar will cover major healthcare issues related to active aging and provide several examples of smart wearable systems, such as measuring walking signals and sleep quality. Attendees will learn about the use of wearable sensor systems and their customization to individual needs. Prof. Deen will discuss how intelligent software and data analytics provide customizable information to users based on data collected from a variety of sensors. The seminar will also explore trends and opportunities in wearable sensors for healthcare and active aging, along with important research issues in the field. The seminar is open to the public. It is an excellent opportunity for those interested in healthcare technology and innovation.
